[origin: WO2005113955A1] The invention relates to a double-flow exhaust system for an internal combustion engine, comprising exhaust-carrying pipes (2, 4, 10, 12, 18, 20) and at least one muffler and catalyst housing (14, 16, 22, 24, 26, 28). The inventive exhaust system is characterized in that one separate rear muffler (26, 28) each is provided for every exhaust tract and the mufflers are flow-connected by at least one connecting pipe (30, 36) that can be preferably fitted.
