Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2006013128A1] The injection relates to a fuel injection system, in particular a common-rail-system, comprising a low pressure area from which fuel is removed using high pressure with the aid of a fuel high pressure pump (4) and is guided to a fuel high pressure store (12) which is used to supply fuel from the injectors (15). Said injectors which supply fuel are impinged upon by high pressure in the internal combustion chamber. According to the invention, the high pressure pump (4), the fuel high pressure store (12) and the injectors (15) are associated with a high pressure area. The aim of the invention is to prevent undesired decelerations when starting the internal combustion engine. As a result, a check-valve device is mounted between the areas of low pressure and high pressure such that fuel passes from the high pressure area to the low pressure area when low pressure is formed in the high pressure area.
