[origin: EP1777071A2] The storage device has the interchangeable printing plates (01) stored in a shaft which contains at least one code reader, for reading an identification coding carried by each printing plate, e.g. a bar code, with comparison of the read identification codes with a laid down plan for the printing sequence, for providing a warning before fitting of an incorrect printing plate to the printing cylinder.
