[origin: WO2006013253A1] The inventive sorting and grouping device comprises at least one station (3) for picking up said objects, stations (7) for placing said objects whose number corresponds at least to a number of fixed selection criteria, a system (9) for transporting the objects from one station to another comprising at least one tool (5') for gripping and transporting the objects, means for programming the depositing of the objects on said stations (7) according to the selected criteria and at least one recognition station (10) which is arranged on the path of the tool (5') upstream of said depositing stations (7) and is provided with means for reading and analysing the object characteristics. The tool (5') for gripping and transporting said bottles (1) is provided with several heads (6') which are distributed and operate by rows from (51) to (56), wherein said tool (5') is provided with means for severing said rows from each other at the recognition station (10') and makes it possible to individually inspect each bottle at said station (10').
