[origin: WO2006005884A1] The invention concerns a device for closing a barrel or the like, said barrel comprising an opening (22) provided in particular at least at a base (14). The invention is characterized in that it comprises a fixing ring (24) arranged at the periphery of the opening (22) at the outer surface of the base (14), connected to the base by any suitable means as well as a closure comprising a first part (30) capable of being wedged at the opening (22) and a second part (32) capable of being screwed on the ring (24), the second part (32) when it is screwed tending to enhance the pressure load between the first part (30) and the opening (22).
