Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2006018570A2] The inventive system for identifying proximity areas between several digitally simulated geometrical objects comprises (a) a memory (111) for storing data describing the geometry of objects, (b) an initialisation module (120) for creating a pawn population, (c) a central processing unit (140) consisting of at least (c1) one unit (141) for selecting the percentage of the pawn population to be exposed to a paired combat, (c2) a comparing and calculating unit (142) for evaluating the quality of each pawn, (c3) a marker unit (143) for identifying which pawn of a pawn pair exposed to combat won or lost for each session of a tournament, (c4) an iteration unit (144) for advancing the pawn which participated in at least one combat in association with at least one exploratory mutation operator and one redefinition operator and (c5) an extracting module (145) for retaining only the best pawns of population in order to determine the proximity areas between at least two objects.
