[origin: EP1779739A1] Filters used in the manufacture of cigarettes are provided by two part magazines [401,402] and are transferred on conveyor belts [60,61 over guide plates [46,47] to a feed unit [G] having a series of rollers. Built into the feed unit are cutter blades [11,21] that allow filters to be cut to specific lengths.
