Abstract (en)
The panel opener, comprising a motor (11) connected to the panel by a transmission mechanism (12) including a rotary to horizontal movement converter (14), a non-reversing unit (18) and an activator (21), has the activator positioned between the non-reversing unit and movement converter, with both the activator and the motor controlled by a fire security system circuit. During operation the security system closes the fire door automatically, while a push-button switch overides the circuit, disengaging its clutch (24 - 26) to allow the door to be re-opened temporarily, closing it again once the switch is released.
