[origin: EP1780133A2] Insulated container (1) made from foamed plastic material comprises a base plate (2) and side walls (3, 4) which pivot between a compact storage position and a functional position. The side walls have pivoting axles (6, 7) arranged at different distance to a base surface (5) of the base plate. Preferred Features: The base plate and each side wall have corresponding hinge regions in the region of the pivoting bearing so that the base plate and/or the side walls elastically deform in the hinge regions in the functional position. The hinge regions have interacting hinge profiles (8, 9, 10).
