Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2006012707A1] The present invention provides methods of treating or preventing diabetic conditions, comprising the administration of a polypeptide which has the ability to stimulate pancreatic islet ß-cell activity but which does not bind to or activate ErbB1 or ErbB4 receptors. Methods of diagnosing diabetic conditions are also provided, as are uses of the polypeptide, and compositions comprising the polypeptide.
