[origin: WO2006018296A1] The invention relates to a roll control actuator to be installed between two axially aligned bars, especially between two bars of a stabilizer, which comprises a cylindrical housing (10). The housing (10) accommodates a device for providing a torque which acts upon at least one of the bars. Said device comprises at least one first piston (12), displaceable inside the housing (10) and having a piston rod (18) that is provided with a first thread (22). The device also comprises at least one first ball nut (30) which is mounted so as to rotate inside the housing (10), which engages with the first piston rod (18) via a first counter-thread (26) matching the first thread (22) and which can be coupled to an end of the first bar. The device finally comprises a first pressure compartment (40) which is effective on a first end of the first piston (12).
