Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005108883A1] The invention relates to a vacuum-insulated cryogenic container comprising at least one latent reservoir, a storage chamber (24) and a temperature measurement, storage and data transfer system for storing and transporting temperature-sensitive material. The inventive vacuum-insulated cryogenic container essentially consists of two multi-walled containers (1, 2), whose openings are sealed by one another, the first of said multi-walled containers (1) being inserted in the second container (2) in such a way that the first container (1) seals the second container (2). Locking and/or spacing means separate the inner wall (5) of one container (2) from the outer wall (12) of the other container (1) so that when the cryogenic container is closed, the respective inner (5) and outer surfaces (12) of the two double-walled containers (1, 2) do not come into contact with one another. The inner atmosphere of the first and second container (1, 2) is evacuated to obtain a high vacuum.
