Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2006000725A1] The invention relates to a method of managing renewals of subscriptions for the parking of vehicles in a geographical zone in which parking is regulated with pay-and-display machines that are installed therein. According to the invention, a person first obtains a subscription from a parking management operator for authorisation to park one or more vehicles for a first determined period. The subscriber and the vehicle(s) are identified by identification means which are recorded in a database of a central subscription management server (8) and parking is controlled by a control officer. The inventive method is characterised in that, in order to renew a subscription for a new period, the subscriber presents himself/herself at one (1) of the pay-and-display machines which communicates with the server (8), identifies himself/herself using the aforementioned subscriber identification means (2) and renews the subscription with the aid of the pay-and-display machine (1).
