[origin: WO2006021381A1] The invention relates to a method for loading data from a data source onto the mass storage device of a data carrier comprising a mass storage device and a chip. An individual datum for the chip is stored in the chip. When the data carrier is accessed in order to load data onto the mass storage device, the individual datum is transmitted from the chip to the availability region of the data source. According to the availability of the data source, the data is marked with the individual datum in such a way that the marked data can only be used with the data carrier from which the individual datum originates. The marked data is transmitted to the data carrier in order to store it in the mass storage device.
