Abstract (en)
The press (1) has a sheet holding device clamping the workpiece firmly during the stamping process, at a force 40% or more higher than the slide force. The power exerted can be further increased during the workpiece breakthrough. The raising of the clamping force should preferably be controlled on the basis of the pressing angle.
