Abstract (en)
The system has a monitoring system with a set of monitoring units (21-23) for exchanging data with a central control unit (30) and between the units. A data conductor (40) connects the monitoring units, the central control unit, and telephones (11-13) to each other via subscriber lines (41-46). The monitoring unit (21) includes an interface such as a network adapter or modem that enables connection of the unit (21) to the conductor over the line (44). The control unit has a sensor gathering and transmitting data to a processor that stores and transmits the data over the conductor. An independent claim is also included for an elevator installation with an emergency-call system comprising a set of telephones.
