The arrangement has temperature sensors (24a, 24b, 24c, 27) e.g. resistance sensors, arranged in different areas of an electrical appliance (12) within an area of a built-in furniture comprising floor units (21a, 21b), to detect the surrounding temperature of the appliance and/or the heat supplied in the furniture. The sensor (24a) is arranged at a distance in the appliance using a retainer (25a) e.g. swivel arm or a telescopic arm, where the retainer adjusts the distance of the sensors from the appliance. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling an electric appliance.

Ein Kochfeld (12), das in eine Arbeitsplatte (20) samt Unterschränken (21) eingebaut ist, weist von dem Kochfeldgehäuse (14) nach unten abstehende Temperatursensoren (24a bis 24c) auf. Diese ermitteln die Temperaturabstrahlung des Kochfeldes (12) bzw. Temperaturen an Oberflächen der Unterschränke (21), so dass das Überschreiten bestimmter Temperaturen vermieden werden kann um Beschädigungen an den Unterschränken zu vermeiden.
