Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006021200A1] The invention relates to a decorated injection-moulded article consisting of at least one injection-moulded plastic material and at least one decorative element connected to said material in a mechanically fixed manner. Said decorative element comprises at least one layer and decoration and/or a protective layer for the injection-moulded article. The injection-moulded article comprises at least one injection-moulded seam which is formed, during the injection-moulding process, in the closing region of the injection mould, or in the transition region between at least two individual parts of the injection mould, on the injection-moulded plastic material. The at least one decorative element only partially covers a surface region of the plastic material, defined by an injection-moulded seam extending in an annular manner on the plastic material, and the decorative element comprises at least one protective varnished layer (4) and/or at least one decorative layer (5), in addition to at least one base layer (6) which is adjacent to the protective varnished or decorative layer, said base layer softening at an injection-moulding temperature for the plastic material, and being connected to the plastic material. The invention also relates to an inmould transfer film, and to a method for producing one such injection-moulded article.
