According to the invention, the width of the casing, enclosing the upper door closer, may be reduced, whereby the upper door closer comprises two pressure springs (12, 13) one within the other, the spring support body (11) and the damping piston (21) have a rotational fixation relative to the stroke cam (7) and the housing wall (1a) has a reduced cross-section to both sides of the longitudinal axis, such as to result in an essentially planar outwardly-facing surface.
