Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1630356A1] The method involves driving a rotor intermittently, during a cooling phase at a reduced nominal rotation speed. A liquid e.g. distilled water, is brought into an air stream, which is flowed through a circular flow channel of a gas turbine, where the turbine exhibits a compressor, turbine unit and an annular combustion chamber. Blade profiles of guide vanes and rotor blades extend radially in the circular flow channel.
