[origin: EP1632650A1] The steam turbine has several stage sections (7,9) and a device for power governing of the turbine before the first stage section (7). A second MP-Curtis wheel (27) with nozzles (29) is provided after the first stage section. The device for power governing of the steam turbine is designed as a Curtis wheel (15) with a nozzle ring (17) and several nozzles (19). The first and/or the second Curtis wheel is constructed as an impulse wheel, especially in Curtis design.
