[origin: WO2006010586A1] The invention relates to the stranding of a long winding material using an essentially cylindrical rotary body. Said rotary body comprises a first passage (110) for guiding a first winding material (102) through the cylindrical rotary body, and a second passage (120) for guiding a second winding material (103) through the cylindrical rotary body. The first passage connects a first eccentric inlet (111) on a first front side (140) of the rotary body to a first eccentric outlet (112) on a second front side (141) of the rotary body, which opposes the first front side. The second passage (120) connects a second input (121), arranged on a surface of the rotary body extending between the two front sides, to a second eccentric output (122) on the second or first front side of the rotary body.
