[origin: WO2006021492A1] The invention relates to a vacuum cleaner comprising a housing part, on which an actuating device for controlling electric components is mounted so that it can rotate and be displaced axially. The axial displacement of said device in opposition to a restoring force of a spring element controls a first electric component and the rotational displacement of said device controls a second electric component. The aim of the invention is to configure a vacuum cleaner of this type in a more reliable manner. To achieve this, the spring element is configured as one piece with the actuating device and a free end of said element is supported in a sliding manner on a circular path along a supporting wall of the housing part.
