[origin: EP1785050A2] The fastener has a deformable loop (10) comprising two ends (18, 20), and a fastener body for lockably receiving one end (18) of the loop, where the loop is formed as an elastically deformable ring such as a rope, a cord or a chain. The fastener body has a latch opening with a latch (30) that is uniquely and irreversibly fixed to the body by a glued connection, a fused connection or a snap-on connection. The latch locks the end of the loop to the fastener body in a force-fit or form-fit manner. The ends (18, 20) are inserted and locked through inlet apertures (22, 24) in the fastener body.
