Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1785114A2] Patient support system comprises a patient bearing space (18) and supporting column (10). The locking means are arranged adjustable at the coupling element (22,24,26) and encloses a locking element. The adjacent coupling element engages in engaging position of the two coupling elements in a recess. Cam are formed at the coupling elements by which the locking element compulsory engages or disengages in the recess with the handing over action of the bearing space from the supporting column on the transport carriage (16).
