Abstract (en)
Production of semi-finished products from metal (26) by continuous casting comprises cooling the mold (10) by evaporating a cooling liquid (36). An independent claim is included for a continuous casting installation with a mold cooling system (32, 34) which sprays cooling liquid on to the mold so that it evaporates.
