[origin: WO2006022723A1] Improving the cosmetic appearance of mammalian hair and/or nails, especially increasing the shine of mammalian hair and decreasing the brittleness and breakage of mammalian nails. More particularly, the invention relates to improving the appearance of mammalian hair and/or nails by orally administering a dietary supplement comprising a safe and effective amount of a sugar amine to a mammal, preferably a human. In another aspect, the invention also relates to a method and an article of commerce.
