[origin: WO2006027149A1] The invention relates to a machine for treating laundry, especially a front-loading washing machine comprising a drum (11) rotatably received in a lye container (3), and a bellows-type seal (1) between the lye container (3) and the machine housing (4) for sealing the door opening area (2). A laundry deflector (5) is formed onto said seal in the area of the twelve o'clock position on the drum and is directed towards the drum (11). The washing machine also comprises a pipe (18) which is connected to an opening in the wall of the bellows-type seal (1) for the purpose of supply with water, washing or rinsing liquid to the door opening area (2). In order to increase the stability of the laundry deflector and at the same time to simplify the design and manufacture of the washing machine, the opening is configured as a system of channels (8) in the laundry deflector (5).
