[origin: WO2006026795A1] A device for recording a fingerprint (1) is disclosed, comprising a transparent cover layer (7), forming a finger rest, with a layer of light-sensitive elements (9) in a matrix arrangement, connected to an analytical circuit (10) and light-emitting elements (8), provided on the side thereof facing away from the finger rest. According to the invention, advantageous construction conditions may be achieved, whereby a photoactive layer (2) of organic semiconductor is arranged between two electrode layers (3, 4) of crossing conductor tracks (5, 6) on the side of the cover layer (7) opposite the finger rest, of which the conductor tracks (5) between the photoactive layer (2) and the cover layer (7) have a transparent embodiment and the photoactive layer (2) forms the light-sensitive and the light-emitting elements (8, 9) in the overlapping regions of the conductor tracks (5, 6) of both electrode layers (3, 4).
