Abstract (en)

Vehicle, in particular rail vehicle, comprising a passenger compartment (3) with a compartment floor (4) and at least a first access section (5.1) and a second access section (5.2) providing access to said passenger compartment (3); said compartment floor (4) having a first floor level at said first access section (5.1) and a second floor level at said second access section (5.2); said first floor level is different from said second floor level to provide substantially barrier free access to said passenger compartment (3) from two different station platform levels, wherein at least one wheelchair transit path (5.3) is provided within said passenger compartment (3) between said first access section (5.1) and said second access section (5.2), said at least one wheelchair transit path (5.3) providing substantially barrier free wheelchair transit between said first access section (5.1) and said second access section (5.2).
