The device has a drum (2) to accommodate a laundry (1), and a ducting system to direct a current of air, where the system has a downward section (3) in which part of the section passes through an end plate (10) for loading of the drum. A filter (6) disposed within the section is utilized for capturing lint (7) carried in the current of air from the drum. The filter approximately corresponding to a full opening of the drum is redesigned as a component in the form of a channel. A scraper has a foil resting against the filter in a sprung manner and curved based on the shape of the filter. An independent claim is also included for a clothes dryer comprising a housing.

Die Vorrichtung zum Trocknen von Wäsche 1 mittels eines Luftstroms umfasst eine Trommel 2 zur Aufnahme der Wäsche 1 und ein Kanalsystem 3, 4, 5 zur Führung des Luftstroms. Das Kanalsystem 3, 4, 5 weist einen abströmseitig der Trommel 2 angeordneten Abschnitt 3 auf, in welchem der Luftstrom in einer fallenden Richtung geführt ist und in welchem ein Sieb 6 zum Auffangen von Flusen 7 aus dem Luftstrom angeordnet ist. Dem Sieb 6 ist eine Rakel 8, 9 zum Abstreifen aufgefangener Flusen 7 zugeordnet. Dieses Sieb 6 ist eine etwa horizontal angeordnete und in der fallenden Richtung gewölbte Rinne 6, und die Rakel 8, 9 weist eine federnd auf dem Sieb 6 abstützbare und entsprechend der Rinne 6 gebogene Folie 8 auf. Die Erfindung ermöglicht ein automatisiertes Abstreifen aufgefangener Flusen 7 von dem Sieb 6.
