Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1788157A2] The wall (7) has lamellae (10) that are separately manufactured one after another, where the diaphragm is made of concrete or reinforced concrete. A clamping unit pre-stresses the diaphragm wall and is made of steel. A u-shaped upper edge of the clamping unit extends over the level of the diaphragm wall and crosses a joint (11) between the adjacent lamellae. An opening is closed by a plate made of brittle material such as glass in an assembling condition. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for formation of a butt joint of cladding tubes between the adjacent diaphragm wall lamellae (2) a method for manufacturing the diaphragm wall.
