Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1788257A2] The fluid actuating cylinder has a housing (2) with a piston (6) forming two working chambers (12a,b). An end position lock (42) has a locking slide (44) movable between positions engaging and releasing the piston-rod assembly (13). The slide is sprung (58) into the locking position, and released during damping movement of the piston by fluid pressure. The pressure can be provided by a branch off the working fluid volume.
