[origin: WO2006027472A1] The invention relates to a railway vehicle (10) consisting of a body defining a wall (14) in which an access passage (20) is embodied, at least one closing sliding door (22), a sealing joint (42) carried by the door (20) and applicable to the wall (14) when said door (20) in a closed position. Said wall (14) comprises a panel (18) provided with a generally cylindrical envelop and a seat (54) which is protruded with respect to said panel (18) and defines a bearing surface (56) for supporting the joint (42) only when the door is in the closed position, wherein said bearing surface (56) of a supporting element (14) extends along a profile substentially identical to the joint (42) profile and said joint (42) profile extends transversally with respect to the door (22) displacement direction (D).
