Abstract (en)
A holding system is for at least two rolls (10, 20) of a rolling mill. It has two holding devices (11, 12, 21, 22) for each roll and at least one, possibly two, clutches (13, 14, 23, 24) for each roll. Each clutch has at least two corresponding clutch parts (13a, 13b; 14a, 14b; 23a, 23b; 24a, 24b), which when coupled, create a torque-transmitting connection between each holding device and the rolls.
