Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1790471A2] Device has a drying hood (6) over a first printing unit (1) and a second printing unit (5). The drying hood is equipped with a roller conveyor for guiding the paper web (2) with increasing movement and has a blowing device (11). A device for heating the paper web is provided parallel to the first roller conveyor. In the upper part of the drying hood reversing rollers (8,9) are provided, which are followed by a roller conveyor, in order to guide the paper web in downward movement after reversing. Parallel to the other roller conveyor, a blowing device (12) and a device for heating are provided, which act on the paper web moving downward. A chamber (13) is provided in the section which is confined through the ascending paper web and in the other section which is confined through the downward running paper web. Hot air streams are blown through the chamber onto the moving paper web and the roller conveyors (7,10) and the blowing device and the blowing chamber are accommodated in a hood, which is connected with a gas exhaust device (20) in interacting manner.
