Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1790766A1] A method for transfer of a fibrous non-woven sheet (17) along the length of a transfer passage at an angle to the vertical involves contacting the underside (26) of the sheet with an underlying current of air, at least part of which has a component of motion in the transfer direction (27). Independent claims are included for: (1) a non-woven sheet transfer device, having a blower for introducing a current of air in contact with the underside (26) of the sheet (17), at least part of the current having a component of motion in the transfer direction (27); and (2) a non-woven sheet consolidation machine, having a sheet inlet equipped with the transfer device.
