[origin: EP1791231A1] The arrestor has a parallelepiped shaped casing (11) whose side (23) is provided with a pair of holes (11N, 11P) providing access to input supply terminals. The side is provided with another pair of holes (12N, 12P) providing access to patching input terminals electrically connected to the input supply terminals. The holes (11N, 11P, 12N, 12P) are separated from each other by half of a base modulus. A fusible cartridge fuse link is integrated in the casing and arranged in series with a varistor, where the link trips in case of short-circuit of the varistor.
