[origin: WO2006032759A1] The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of rosacea and to the use of one such composition for the production of a medicament that is intended for the treatment of rosacea. The invention is characterised in that the composition comprises suitable concentrations of at least metronidazole and azelaic acid such that a synergic effect can be observed between the metronidazole and the azelaic acid. The inventive composition contains azelaic acid at a concentration of less than 10 % by weight of the total weight of the composition. In particular, the invention relates to the treatment of the inflammatory component of rosacea.
