Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006032630A1] The aim of the invention is to provide a power supply to the motor of a magnetic levitation railway system with higher shut-off security which is comparably more economical and compact, and has a shorter shut-off time. As a result, the inventive power supply device is provided with a frequency converter (1) which is connected in a direct manner to an energy supply network (16) with the input switching system (2). The frequency converter (1) contains a rectifier (3) which is arranged downstream from the input switching system (2), an intermediate circuit (4) which is connected to the rectifier (3), an inverted rectifier end step (5) which is arranged downstream from the intermediate circuit (4) and which comprises an associated control device (8) and an output switching system (6) which is connected to the inverted rectifier end step (5) and which is directly connected to the motor (7). The control input of the input switching system (2) and the control input of the output switching system (6) are connected to an operational control device (21) which produces a shut-off command, and the intermediate circuit (4) comprises a short circuiter for the discharge thereof, said short circuiter being connected with the control input thereof to the operational control device (21).
