[origin: WO2006030090A1] The invention relates to a housing (1) for a bearing (17), which is equipped with (i) an annular axial segment (2) that is intended to receive an outer bearing ring (19) and (ii) a radial flange (3) that is connected to one end of said axial segment. The axial segment (2) comprises means for fixing the bearing by means of radial clamping and means for axially retaining the bearing, both of said means being integral with the housing while being separated from one another circumferentially.
