The building element has the outer shell (1), the middle shell (3) as well as the inner shell (2) which are connected with each other by a fire resistant shell connector (6), which is connected in positive or non-positive manner in each of the shells. Das Gebäudeelement in brandgeschützer Ausführung wird insbesondere in Form einer Brandschutztür, eines Brandschutzfensters oder einer Brandschutzwand eingesetzt. Es besteht aus einem Rahmen aus einer metallischen Außenschale (1), einer Innenschale (2) sowie einer Mittelschale (3), wobei die Außenschale (1) und die Innenschale (2) jeweils über Isolierstege (4) mit der Mittelschale (3) verbunden sind. Im Rahmen ist vorzugsweise zwischen der Außenschale (1) und der Innenschale (2) ein Ausfachungselement (5) dichtend gehalten. Die Außenschale (1), die Mittelschale (3) sowie die Innenschale (2) sind über einen brandresistenten Schalenverbinder (6) miteinander verbunden sind, der form- und/oder kraftschlüssig an jeder der Schalen (1, 2, 3) angeschlossen ist.
