[origin: WO2006021380A1] The invention relates to a piston for a syringe comprising a syringe cylinder. Said piston comprises a core element (8) provided with a peripheral surface (20), in addition to a ring element (11) provided with an outer peripheral surface (21) which surrounds the core element (8) at a distance. Said ring element (11) is coated with a sliding material (22) on the outer peripheral surface (21) thereof. The core element (8) and the ring element (11) are interconnected by rods (19).
