Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2006018593A2] The present invention provides for a dispensing device for the addition of products to seal and semisealed systems such as for example water treatment chemicals to domestic closed loop systems and in which the product can be dispensed from a biocompartmenal aerosol can which can be connected directly to the heating system through threaded attachments such that the contents of the can are directly discharged into heating system. No draining down is required and the dosing can be done under hot or cold conditions and the biocompartmental aerosol can avoids the problem of the propellant being discharged into the system since the chemical is separated within the can from the propellant. An arrangement of the invention can also comprise a dosing adaptor device serving to allow easy addition of water treatment chemicals to heating systems and which adaptor devices can be used for bleeding the excess air from the system by either the use of special bleed keys that are designed to open the dosing devices back check valves or by partly unscrewing the dosing devices.
