Abstract (en)
A permanent chill mold comprises a mold tube (1) placed in water box, where a water gap is formed between inner side wall of water box and outer side (2) of mold tube; and sheet metal water deflector(s) (3) situated in the water gap. The mold tube is supported in one direction to be laterally freely shiftable with respect to the water box, and the working position of the mold tube is adjusted by flow relationships in the water gap. A partial area of the outer surface of the mold tube is provided with cooling channels (7). The deflector has a diversion section (10, 11).

Kokille zum Stranggießen von Metall mit einem in einem Wasserkasten platzierten Kokillenrohr (1), wobei zwischen der Innenseite der Wandung des Wasserkastens und der Außenseite (2) des Kokillenrohrs (1) ein Wasserspalt ausgebildet ist. In dem Wasserspalt ist wenigstens ein Wasserleitblech (3) angeordnet, wobei das Kokillenrohr (1) zumindest in eine Richtung seitlich frei verschiebbar gegenüber dem Wasserkasten gelagert ist und wobei sich die Arbeitslage des Kokillenrohrs (1) durch die Strömungsverhältnisse im Wasserspalt einstellt.
