Abstract (en)
A method and an apparatus for executing the method are disclosed, wherein a disturbance of the drop ejection process of a printing element is detected (either manually or automatically) and, upon detection, the driving of the actuating means of the printing element is stopped for a predetermined period of time, while continuing the consumption of print data for the printing element.
