[origin: EP1795471A2] The arrangement has a contact roller (3) that is designed as a supporting roller (4), and a material web sensor (17) provided at the contact roller. The material web sensor has a temperature sensor (18), which is arranged at rolling supports (6.1, 6.2) that are adjacent to the material web sensor, and is arranged on the contact roller. The temperature sensor produces a continuously amplifying signal (19) during rotation of the contact roller.
