Abstract (en)
An improved locking system for a telescopic tent pole has a sleeve (3) sliding up the pole and with a release button (22) which is pressed radially outwards by the integral sprung ratchet (11) in the locking setting. The system is released by pressing the release button with the thumb while gripping the sleeve. The outer edges of the sleeve have chamfered profiles (30) to depress the ratchet when erecting the pole and frame.
