Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006037726A2] Disclosed is a retainer for a fuel injection device, which is characterized by a particularly simple design that allows the fuel injection valve (1) to be held down very effectively. Said fuel injection device comprises at least one fuel injection valve (1), a locating bore for the fuel injection valve (1), and a connecting branch (6) of a fuel distribution pipe (4). The retainer (10) is braced between a shoulder (12) of the fuel injection valve (1) and a final area (14) of the connecting branch (6). The inventive retainer (10) is provided with a partly annular basic element (11) from which an axially resilient retaining clip (13) extends in a curved manner. The retaining clip (13) is equipped with at least two webs (21), two inclined sections (22), and two support sections (23). The fuel injection valve (1) is particularly suitable for use in fuel injection systems of mixture-compressing spark-ignited internal combustion engines.
