Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006037546A1] The invention relates to a material for use as pheromone dispenser for attracting forest insects, especially bark beetles, more specifically spruce bark beetles. The inventive material comprises a pheromone type originating from beetle and comprising at least one, especially two, especially at least three active substance component(s) originating from beetle, and a pheromone type originating from the host and comprising at least one, especially at least two active substance component(s) originating from the host. The inventive material is characterized by comprising a matrix which is incorporated into a support material charged with the pheromone types originating from beetle and from the host, thereby forming support material/pheromone adducts, whereby all active substance components are involved in the formation of said adduct. The invention also relates to advantageous variations of the matrix and the support material.
